Erik Griffin, a Los Angeles born comedian/actor who is hard-working, ambitious, talented, and most importantly, "funny" to quote his mother. He has been performing comedy off and on for the past 12 years. A crazy 5-year relationship derailed his comedy aspirations. But he is now back on track.
After quitting his "regular" job and making comedy his soul focus, the future looks bright. Since April of 2006, Erik has been represented by the The Sohl Commercial Agency. He was featured in several commercials and is now a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild. Erik performed Stand-up on the Playboy Television show, Night Calls, and The Payaso Comedy Slam, due to air on Showtime & Comedy Central sometime in mid-2007. He studied with the world-renowned Janet Alhanti Acting Studio and completed Hey I Saw Your Commercial Workshop with Mike Pointer. Erik was featured at the 2006 NACA West Regional Showcase and has started performing at colleges. Erik is headlining up and down the western United States and Canada. He opened for Dave Attel in Washington, won the Northern Lights Comedy Contest., was a semi-finalist (6th place) in the 2005 International Seattle Comedy Contest; attended the 5th & 6th Annual Calgary Comedy Festival as well as a runner-up in the 2005 Rocky Mountain Laugh- Off.
When he is not on the road, he makes the rounds throughout Southern California sevens days a week to prepare himself for the big Hollywood stage. Erik's comedy is full of hilarious observations about life, love and self-evaluation bringing together all ages and ethnic backgrounds, which makes for an uproariously good time.
