Barry started his stand up comedy career in Boston performing on the vibrant up and coming comedy scene while attending college at UMass – Lowell. In 2001 he moved to New York to further pursue a career in film and television in addition to his stand up and sketch comedy. He achieved a B.A. in Film and Television from Hofstra University and within two years of being in NY became a regular at most comedy clubs and garnered a professional career playing numerous colleges and clubs all over the east coast. During that time he was also a founding member of improv troupe called "Bread House" at the famed Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater.

Since then Barry has appeared on television as a writer and actor on Discovery Channel's "You Spoof Discovery" in addition to co-writing and co-creating a pilot for the E! Channel entitled "Indies". Furthering his filmmaking abilities into the 21st Century he is also currently producing/writing and directing two online pilots; one for Comedy Central's Motherload and one for Turner’s Super Deluxe.com.

Barry continues to perform stand up and sketch comedy in addition to television and film writing, acting and directing.
